THE PERSON BEHIND

Master Renato C. De Jesus Jr. is the Founder and President of the R-Black Powerstrike Taekwondo Training Center, a dedicated martial arts organization committed to developing discipline, confidence, leadership, and excellence among students through the art of Taekwondo.

At the age of 30, Master Renato has already built an impressive career in both sports and leadership. He is a graduate of Cavite State University – Silang Campus with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, proving his dedication not only in sports but also in education and professional development.

With 17 years of experience in Taekwondo, Master Renato has achieved the rank of 5th Dan Taekwondo Master and is a 3rd Class International Master of the World Jidokwan Taekwondo Federation, one of the oldest Taekwondo kwans in history. He is also a Kukkiwon Certified Black Belt, recognized by the World Taekwondo Headquarters in South Korea.

Because of his leadership, dedication to sports development, and contribution to the youth and community, Master Renato has received multiple national and international awards, including:

World Summit Excellence Award – Outstanding Leadership and Advocate in Sport Excellence

ASEAN Youth Organization (2023) – Outstanding Leader and Youth Advocate of the Year

Philippine Fashion Trends (2023) – Philippines Most Outstanding Graphic Designer and Inspiring Leader of the Year

Asia Tiger Icon Awards (2024) – Most Outstanding Sports Advocate of the Year

Asia Pacific Topnotch Men and Women Achievers (2025) – Topnotch Sports Leader and Advocate of the Year

Gawad Dangal Filipino Awards (2025) – Outstanding Sports Leadership Award

He was also featured in Metro Goddess International Magazine (November 2023 Issue), recognizing his inspiring journey in Taekwondo, leadership, and community service.

Master Renato has been invited and interviewed on several radio and media programs where he shared his Taekwondo journey, life experiences, and advocacy for youth development through sports. Some of the programs include:
